Iceland, the “land of ice and fire” is one of the most spectacular places in the world. It is at the top of every photographer’s bucket list. There is no other place in the world where photographers can encounter such a diverse range of landscapes and natural phenomena. In these eight days we will explore this extraordinary world.
On our tour, our photographic destinations range from the unearthly landscapes of the Icelandic Highlands (Landmannalaugar), through waterfalls, colourful mountains, lundas, extinct volcanoes to black sand beaches.
During the tour (midnight sun), you will experience the most beautiful lights and colours that you cannot experience anywhere else on earth.
Our workshop focuses on the Icelandic Highlands (Landmannalaugar) and the southern region, home to some of the most spectacular photography locations on the island. This is the time of year when nature is at its greenest, the temperatures are at their warmest, and the days are at their longest. Iceland is a mystical, extraordinary, and almost otherworldly island nation. This statement is far from an exaggeration—even the Apollo astronauts were sent to Iceland for training. According to NASA geologists, Iceland’s interior resembles the Moon’s surface more than anywhere else on Earth. When Neil Armstrong successfully returned from the Apollo 11 mission, he was asked what it was like to walk on the Moon. His answer? “Exactly like Iceland.” In the Land of Fire and Ice, visitors are not only captivated by its natural wonders, but also by its rich culture, warm people, and fascinating traditions. With a population of just 320,000, Iceland is also the only country in the world without mosquitoes.
During this photography workshop, we won’t just explore the most breathtaking locations—we’ll also dive deep into the technical and artistic aspects of photography. Through individual and group lessons, hands-on exercises, and personalized feedback, we ensure that every participant makes significant progress in their skills.

During the workshop, we will spend 7 nights along Iceland’s southern coastline, staying in 4 different hotels, ensuring that we are always close to the best photography locations. One of the highlights of the trip is exploring the Icelandic Highlands, where volcanic landscapes, vibrant rhyolite mountains, and endless lava fields provide unique photography opportunities. In July, Iceland transforms into the land of endless daylight, allowing us to shoot in long golden-hour light, surreal nighttime twilight, and dramatic contrasts. Sunrises and sunsets offer the perfect chance to capture the most breathtaking moments of the landscape. Along the southern coast, we will photograph black sand beaches, massive waterfalls, and majestic glaciers, while the untouched wilderness of the Highlands offers a true adventure for landscape photography enthusiasts. This workshop is not just about photography—it’s about learning and growth. From composition techniques to long-exposure photography, we will cover everything you need to enhance your skills. The itinerary is flexible, allowing us to adapt to the weather and lighting conditions, ensuring that you get the best possible photography experience.

This entire day is dedicated to the breathtaking landscapes of Landmannalaugar, where we will capture otherworldly scenery unlike anywhere else on Earth. Our drones will be in the air constantly, ensuring that we document every incredible moment from above. Our main photography locations include the awe-inspiring Sigöldugljufur Canyon—also known as the Valley of Tears, the majestic volcanoes and lush green mountains, and the stunning Stútur Crater.
We begin the day by visiting one of Iceland’s largest and most breathtaking waterfalls, Haifoss, capturing its immense power and beauty through our lenses. For a well-deserved break, we head to the Secret Lagoon, a geothermal hot spring naturally heated by active geysers, where we can relax and recharge before continuing our adventure. Afterward, we return to the Icelandic Highlands, seeking out new and exciting photography subjects in this untamed wilderness. We conclude the day at our hotel with a lavish buffet dinner, an evening of great conversations, and a photo review session, where we analyze and discuss the incredible images captured throughout the day.
On the last day of our journey, we return to Reykjavík, reflecting on the incredible experiences and breathtaking landscapes we’ve captured. Arriving at the airport, we bid farewell to this extraordinary island, taking home unforgettable memories and stunning photographs.
This photography workshop is more than just a trip – it’s an opportunity to learn, grow, and receive personalized guidance from professional photographers. Our goal is for you to return home not only with amazing experiences but also with new skills and stunning images. To capture the best possible photos, you may sometimes need to make small sacrifices. Unexpected situations—such as weather changes or environmental factors—might require us to adjust the planned itinerary. Your safety is our top priority. If a program needs to be canceled or rescheduled, it will only be done to ensure you have the best possible experience. We reserve the right to modify the itinerary if necessary. Our main focus is photography. If an unforeseen event prevents a scheduled activity from taking place at the designated time, our tour leader will make every effort to reschedule or reorganize the program. Our priority is that you enjoy the experience, but the final decisions rest with us, and all participants are required to follow them. Good health is a basic requirement for participating in the trip. Serious cardiovascular conditions, neurological disorders, and mental health issues are disqualifying factors. If you have any medical concerns, please consult your doctor before joining.
Our expert guides will help you find the perfect settings, create the best compositions, and make the most of natural light conditions. We provide individual attention to each participant and adapt to the environment. If the weather or lighting isn’t ideal, we’ll return at a better time to ensure you capture your subject in the best possible conditions. One thing is certain: thanks to our camera’s memory (and our own, of course), the memories of this journey will stay with us forever.

I hiked, climbed mountains, and then I wanted to bring home what I saw in the mountains, so photography came into my life as a hobby, and after ten years as a profession. I’ve shared my experiences and what I’ve seen with the public in several exhibitions and travelogues. Since I decided to get the FIAP (Fédération Internationale de I’Art Photographique), I have been awarded special prizes, distinctions and acceptances in international competitions. I want to show our travellers the exciting and varied world of landscape photography.

I started my photography journey with bird photography, achieving great results in both national and international competitions. Over time, my interest shifted towards landscape photography, and soon, I also delved into the fascinating world of drone photography. My work has been successfully recognized in prestigious competitions such as National Geographic, Nature Photographer of the Year, Magical Hungary, PCCS International Salon, Sony, vadon.ro, IBP Dreamscapes International Salon, MAFOSZ, FIAP, Pannonia Reflections, BPOTY, and WildLifePhoto. My photographs are featured in permanent exhibitions, and I have also published several self-published books showcasing my work.

Photography is not just a hobby for me – it is a passion inspired by my love of nature. I am fascinated by the beauty of the landscape and the uniqueness of the built environment. Photographic tours allow us to get closer to the wonders of nature, to discover the beauty that surrounds us and to get away from the hustle and bustle of the world. Besides landscape photography, interior and street photography have a special place in my life. In 2023, I tried to deepen my knowledge in this field by taking a course in Street Photography at MOME. My pictures try to capture the special atmosphere of each location, the magic of the moment and the diversity of the world.
