Iceland, the “land of ice and fire,” is one of the most spectacular places on Earth. It’s at the top of the list for every photography enthusiast. Nowhere else can a photographer experience such a diverse range of landscapes and natural phenomena. During these eight days, we will explore this truly extraordinary world.
Our workshop photography targets include the otherworldly landscapes of the Icelandic Highlands (Landmannalaugar), waterfalls, colorful mountains, puffins, extinct volcanoes, and black sand beaches – all iconic subjects for any visual storyteller.
The timing of our tour coincides with the midnight sun, a phenomenon where the most stunning light and colors appear – a sight that can’t be experienced quite like this anywhere else on the planet.
Our workshop focuses on the Icelandic Highlands (Landmannalaugar) and the southern region of the island, where most of the truly breathtaking photography locations are found. At this time of year, nature is at its greenest, the weather is warmest, and the days are longest.
Iceland is a mystical, unique, and enchanted island nation, possessing almost otherworldly qualities. This is no exaggeration – even the Apollo astronauts were trained in Iceland. According to our geologist, the island’s interior is the place on Earth that most closely resembles the Moon’s surface. When Neil Armstrong returned from the Apollo 11 mission and was asked what walking on the Moon was like, he simply replied: “Exactly like being in Iceland.”
In the land of fire and ice, not only the natural wonders but also the culture, the people, and the local traditions leave visitors in awe.
During the workshop, we don’t just visit the most beautiful locations—we also dive deeper into the technical and artisticside of photography. With a mix of individual and group sessions, hands-on exercises, and personalized feedback, we’ll help you grow your skills and take your photography to the next level.

I am so happy to have been part of the 2021 Iceland team. What did I love the most? It’s hard to put into words because the moment I write something down, another memory comes rushing back. The lights, the colors, the flower-filled meadows, the black sand, the green moss-covered mountains, the glow of the […]
I love photography, but nature photography has never been one of my main subjects. Still, I was eagerly looking forward to the Icelandic adventure. It may sound like a cliché that every photographer dreams of visiting this place, but this tour exceeded all my expectations—not just because of the breathtaking scenery, but thanks to Zsolt […]
This wasn’t my first time photographing with BestPhotoTour. I had already joined their Norway tour, so it was no coincidence that I chose them again. Why was this trip another incredible experience? Because it had everything necessary: excellent organization, maximum attention to detail, and of course, the location itself. I can hardly imagine a more […]
An Icelandic photography tour is probably high on the bucket list of almost every nature photographer. During the workshop, we’ll spend 7 nights along Iceland’s southern coastline, staying in 4 different hotels so we can always work at the best photography locations. One of the highlights of the program is the exploration of the Icelandic Highlands, where volcanic landscapes, colorful rhyolite mountains, and endless lava fields provide unique opportunities for photographers.
In July, Iceland becomes the land of endless daylight, allowing us to shoot in long golden-hour light, mystical nighttime twilight, and with dramatic contrasts. Sunrises and sunsets offer the perfect chance to capture the landscape at its most breathtaking moments.
Along the southern coast, black sand beaches, massive waterfalls, and glaciers deliver stunning subjects, while the Highlands’ wild and untouched regions offer a true adventure for lovers of landscape photography.
The workshop is not just about shooting—we also learn. From composition to long exposure techniques, we’ll cover every important aspect to ensure each participant experiences remarkable growth. The itinerary is flexible, allowing us to adapt to current weather and lighting conditions to provide the best possible photography experience.

This photo workshop is more than just a trip—it’s a space to learn, grow, and get personal guidance from pro photographers. Our goal is that you return home not only with unforgettable memories, but also with new knowledge and stunning images. To capture the best possible photos, sometimes a bit of sacrifice is needed. Weather changes or other unexpected factors may occasionally affect the planned schedule. But your safety always comes first. If something gets postponed or rescheduled, it’s only to ensure you get the best possible experience.
We reserve the right to make program changes if needed.
The main focus of this trip is photography. If something unexpected comes up and a scheduled activity can’t happen at the planned time, our guide will do their best to rearrange or adjust it. We want you to have an amazing time—but we also make the final calls, and it’s important that all participants respect these decisions.
To join the trip, good physical health is required. Serious cardiovascular issues or neurological/mental health disorders may be exclusion criteria. If you’re unsure about your condition, it’s essential to check with your doctor beforehand.
Our guides will help you find the perfect angle, the best composition, and make the most out of the available light.
We work with every participant individually and stay flexible to adapt to the conditions around us.
If the weather or lighting isn’t quite right, we’ll come back to the same spot—because we want you to capture your subject in the best possible conditions.
One thing’s for sure: thanks to your camera’s memory (and your own), the memories of this trip will stay with you forever.

I hiked, climbed mountains, and then I wanted to bring home what I saw in the mountains, so photography came into my life as a hobby, and after ten years as a profession. I’ve shared my experiences and what I’ve seen with the public in several exhibitions and travelogues. Since I decided to get the FIAP (Fédération Internationale de I’Art Photographique), I have been awarded special prizes, distinctions and acceptances in international competitions. I want to show our travellers the exciting and varied world of landscape photography.

I started my photography journey with bird photography, achieving great results in both national and international competitions. Over time, my interest shifted towards landscape photography, and soon, I also delved into the fascinating world of drone photography. My work has been successfully recognized in prestigious competitions such as National Geographic, Nature Photographer of the Year, Magical Hungary, PCCS International Salon, Sony, vadon.ro, IBP Dreamscapes International Salon, MAFOSZ, FIAP, Pannonia Reflections, BPOTY, and WildLifePhoto. My photographs are featured in permanent exhibitions, and I have also published several self-published books showcasing my work.

Photography is not just a hobby for me – it is a passion inspired by my love of nature. I am fascinated by the beauty of the landscape and the uniqueness of the built environment. Photographic tours allow us to get closer to the wonders of nature, to discover the beauty that surrounds us and to get away from the hustle and bustle of the world. Besides landscape photography, interior and street photography have a special place in my life. In 2023, I tried to deepen my knowledge in this field by taking a course in Street Photography at MOME. My pictures try to capture the special atmosphere of each location, the magic of the moment and the diversity of the world.
