I believe in fateful encounters. During a late-summer hiking trip in Austria, as I sat atop a mountain, I wondered if the distant peaks I was gazing at could be the famous jagged summits of the Dolomites. The moment I opened Facebook, a Dolomites photography tour popped up. I didn’t think twice about signing up! Even before departure, we received valuable tips about our gear, along with a detailed packing list that covered absolutely everything (I still owe you guys a hair clip!). The itinerary was incredibly well thought out, making full use of every possible moment to visit the spots I had previously only seen online. And if something wasn’t accessible, there was always a Plan B, executed instantly! Krisz and Zsolt introduced us to a whole new perspective with their breathtaking drone footage, infecting a few of us with the drone fever! I had never used filters before, but they convinced me of their usefulness. I wouldn’t say I mastered them, but I definitely made progress! As photographers, you are true professionals, and as guides, you are blessed with a fantastic sense of humor, patience, and understanding—never change! The group was also incredible, with everyone being so helpful. I learned not only about photography but also about drinking wheat beer, the fact that there’s an app for literally everything, the stability of short-legged Alpine cows, and other highly practical everyday wisdom. I had been considering photography courses for a while, but these few days made me realize that I don’t need one! Thank you for everything—I truly believe this won’t be my last adventure with you!
